Community Version

1. Purpose

The Community Version License defines the terms, eligibility criteria, and limitations under which elDoc Community version is distributed. This policy ensures that access to elDoc Community License is granted only to qualifying end-users.

2. Definitions

  • elDoc Community License: A limited-use, non-exclusive, non-transferable license granted at no cost under this policy to eligible end-users, subject to the terms and conditions outlined herein.

  • End-User (hereinafter referred to as "Customer"): Any individual, entity, or organization that accesses or uses elDoc under the terms of the Community License.

3. Purpose

Evaluation Scope

The Community Version is provided for customers who want to explore elDoc, run initial tests, perform pre-study activities, and build proof-of-concept (PoC) scenarios. This usage is limited to evaluation purposes in isolated, non-production environments. The Community Version is not intended for UAT, SIT, development, staging, or production use. If you plan to use elDoc as part of real business workflows, a commercial license is required.

Production Scope (Eligible Customers Only)

Eligible customers, as defined in the elDoc Community License, may use the Community Version for commercial purposes, including development, staging, and production use, provided that eligibility requirements continue to be met for the entire duration of use. This right to use the Community Version in production applies only to the qualifying entity and must not be extended to, or exercised on behalf of, any third party or non-eligible organization. If a customer ceases to meet the eligibility criteria at any time, continued use of the Community Version for production or business purposes is not permitted and a valid commercial license is required.

4. Scope of Use for Eligible Customers

The elDoc Community License may only be used by Customers who meet the eligibility criteria described below. Use of the software under this license is subject to strict limitations regarding the type of organization and purpose of use. elDoc reserves the right to verify eligibility and compliance at any time.

4.1 Small Businesses (with revenues of less than $100,000 USD (or equivalent in foreign currency))

A small business may qualify for and use the elDoc Community License for commercial purposes, meaning internal business use within its own organization, including development and production use, under the following conditions:

  • The business must have gross annual revenues of less than $100,000 USD (or equivalent in foreign currency) for each year the license is active.

  • The license must be used exclusively by the qualifying entity, and not shared with or used on behalf of any third party or non-eligible organization.

  • The license may be used in development, production, and business environments, as long as eligibility is maintained.

This does not grant any right to resell, sublicense, host, offer as a service, or otherwise make elDoc available to third parties.

Disclaimer:
The Community Version does not include official support or service-level agreements (SLAs). If you require guaranteed support, updates, or assistance for production use, a valid commercial support plan is required.

Limitation of Liability & No Warranties:
The Community Version is provided ‘as is’ and ‘as available,’ without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, elDoc shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of data, business interruption, or any other commercial or economic losses arising out of or in connection with the use of, or inability to use, the Community Version, even if elDoc has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Exclusions & Special Programs:
The Community Version is free of charge for eligible customers and may be used for commercial purposes within the customer’s own organization, subject to the Community License terms. Government and quasi-government agencies are not eligible to use the Community Version, regardless of size, revenue, or budget.
